A prospective applicant of ISTA must be a well-known academic institution in China or the world which accepts the Articles of Association and commits to work for the common objectives of ISTA. To become an ISTA member, an applicant shall be nominated and seconded by one and four ISTA members respectively, and shall be recommended by the Executive Committee and approved by no less than a two-third majority in the General Meeting.
