Hosted by Nanjing University, the Second Meeting of 10th ISTA Executive Committee and Knowledge Transfer Management Forum were held in Nanjing on 10 May 2019. Associate Counsel of Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Province, Dr JING Mao (景茂); Director of Science and Technology Division of Education Department of Jiangsu Province, Mr ZHANG Zhaochen (张兆臣); Vice President of Nanjing University, Prof. LU Yanqing (陆延青); and The Chair of ISTA and Associate Vice President of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Prof. CHEN Guohua (陈国华) addressed to more than 60 delegates in the opening addresses, reflecting on the course of the development of the Alliance dedicated to international exchange to promote best practices of technology transfer for policy makers and top university executives for contributing to the regional innovation systems.
In the meeting, the meeting date of 24nd Annual General Meeting (10 - 11 Oct 2019), the host application of the First Meeting of 11th Executive Committee (May 2020) by Sun Yat-sen University and 25th Annual General Meeting by Fudan University were endorsed.
Executive Committee members also had an ardent discussion on future strategic development and the topics of next Knowledge Transfer Management Forum with constructive suggestions.
A half-day Knowledge Transfer Management Forum themed “Convergence of Academic Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship” was held afterwards. The Forum brought together university administrators and experts from both locally and abroad to share their knowledge and practice for the audiences' better understanding in how to integrate entrepreneurship development with knowledge transfer to foster a more inductive ecosystem for spin-offs.
