Hosted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, ISTA 22nd Annual General Meeting was held in Hong Kong on 7 December 2017. In the meeting, Prof. LI Guangxian, the former Executive Vice President of Sichuan University, was accepted as ISTA Individual Member and thirteen member universities were elected as 10th ISTA Executive Committee Members. Moreover, the applications of hosting the First Meeting of 10th Executive Committee (May 2018) by University of Science and Technology of China and hosting of 23rd Annual General Meeting (Oct 2018)by Northwestern Polytechnical University were endorsed. Member universities also had an ardent discussion on the topics of next Knowledge Transfer Management Forum and the future strategic development of ISTA with constructive suggestions.
A half-day Knowledge Transfer Management Forum themed “Knowledge Transfer under the Belt and Road Initiative” was held afterwards. Experts from international technology transfer association, economic cooperation committee of Asia and university administrators from the Belt and Road countries invited to this mini forum to share their experience and views on the opportunities arising from the Belt and Road Initiative as well as to interact with ISTA members to explore possible collaborative actions.
