Following the ISTA delegation's participation of the AUTM Asia conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2016, ISTA secretariat coordinated member institutions and formed a delegation to participate in the AUTM Asia 2017 held in Hong Kong again. 25 representatives from Fudan University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Nanjing Medical University, Nanjing University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Northeastern University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Sichuan University, Tongji University, Tsinghua University formed the delegation. They attended the workshops and conference, had a wide range and fruitful exchange with experts in the Mainland and abroad.

On 23 April 2017, the delegation also visited House of Innovation and newly established InnoHub of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, further strengthen mutual understanding and exchange.
