International Strategic Technology Alliance accepted as ATTP Member

In March 2018, Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP) Council formally accepted ISTA as the 11th member organisation of ATTP in March 2018. ISTA submitted the formal application in May 2017.

ATTP (www.attp.info) was formed in 2010 by the 4 technology transfer alliances / associations: The Association of European Science and Technology Transfer Professionals (ASTP-Proton), Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM),  Knowledge Commercialisation Australasia (KCA) and PraxisUnico in the UK. ATTP’s missions are to set out internationally recognized standards to promote professional certification of technology transfer executives, as well as to enhance the professional development of the technology transfer practitioners of its member associations through its recognized training programmes.

ATTP comprises members of the following ten member associations in the last 7 years since its establishment:

9.   University Network for Innovation and Technology Transfer (UNITT)
10.  Üniversite Sanayi İşbirliği Merkezleri Platformu (ÜSİMP)

Through admission to ATTP, ISTA will be able to further enhance its international standing and recognition, and:
•  to interact and learn from overseas universities and research institutes;
•  to facilitate collaborative opportunities between ISTA member institutions and other overseas universities and research institutes;
•  to obtain professional guidance and accreditation to ISTA’s training courses, providing Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP)_ credits for training participants from member institutions;
•  to advocate professional recognition to the technology transfer practitioners of universities in China.
